Are you having as much fun as you would like?
Is your horse as competitive as you think he should be?
Is your investment horse looking more like capital loss than a capital gain?
Have you reached a plateau?
Do you just need a change?

If you do not like your answer to any of  these questions maybe you should consider giving us a try!

Wyatt is highly respected for his patience and ability in developing young contenders, as well as, readying and showing veteran and celebrated campaigners.

Hart to Hart Stables is indeed versatile.  Currently of the Saddlebreds, Hackneys, and Morgans on the premises there are broodmares, colts, prospects ready for the show ring, retired horses, consignment horses, and seasoned show horses.  Whether you are an investor, a rider, or a breeder you will feel right at home.

Investment Horses
Wyatt has an amazing talent in developing young colts into show ring competitors.  In a very short amount of time he can take an un-broke colt and have it trotting and racking around the ring better than most seasoned show horses.  If you are looking for an investment, he also has an uncanny ability of finding diamonds in the rough and quickly turning a profit by polishing them into top-notch show horses.

Show Horses
Unlike many of the strictly amateur barns our smaller facility and mixture of horses allows our amateur riders to get the individualized attention they need to learn to show their horses to the best of their ability.  Because of the barn's size and the diversity of horses and horse shows rarely will two horses from the barn show against each other.   The farm is just the right size to have fun and socialize without feeling like a number or that you are being processed on an assembly line.

Other Advantages
Hart to Hart Stables has several other major advantages that need to be mentioned.  Since there is not a lesson program running into the late hours every night the training horses are able to get the rest they need.  The majority of shows attended are within close proximity of the farm so horses that do not show will not miss any training during show season.  The location of the farm and reputation also ensures a steady volume of shoppers.

Since Wyatt does his own hauling it is hassle free to go to shows to show or to practice and there is no need to be inconvenienced by a commercial hauler’s schedule.  This also ensures that he is with the horses when they arrive at the show in case of any problems.  By taking young horses to the shows to practice they are able to progress at a much faster rate.

Since he is also a farrier any shoeing problems can be addressed immediately instead of having to wait for an outside farrier to fit you into his busy schedule.  Balancing problems can be fixed in a short amount of time instead of spread out over several weeks of farrier visits.  Since he also does his own teeth each horse is taken care of as needed instead of on a schedule for the entire barn as a whole.

Hart to Hart Stables is a top of the line training facility.  The barn has thirty matted stalls and a 160’ x 80’ indoor arena.  There is also a nice work area outside.  It is set on 45 beautiful acres with several paddocks of varying sizes.  Visitors are welcome at any time.

Showing

Hart to Hart Stables' central location means the majority of shows attended throughout the year are less than an hours drive from the farm.  Your horses are fresh when they get to the horse show and get to sleep in their own stalls at night.  For the horses that don't go to the show they will rarely miss a workout.

The show schedule includes a wide variety of shows.  There is plenty of opportunity to show whether you love the fun and excitement of the county fairs or the glamour and steep competition of the larger shows.  The following is a list of shows from which the owners usually choose.  In addition to these the owners are welcomed to make any requests.

Since the shows are close to home and Wyatt does most of the hauling your show expenses are kept to a minimum.

SHOW EXPENSES:
The customer will be billed a day rate for each day the horse is away from Hart to Hart Stables, starting the day the horse leaves and ending the day the horse returns.  The day rate is $75.00 per day.  This charge helps cover round the clock care that the horse receives while at a show, and additional caretaker expenses.  The trainer’s show expenses (hotel, airfare or transportation, rental car and food), box seats, stall decorations, bedding and tack stalls will be prorated among the customers attending the show and billed accordingly. The customer is required to pay all entry fees, exhibitor passes, office fees and stall charges for each horses.

COMMISSIONS:
Hart to Hart Stables will be paid a 10% commission on any horse bought or sold for the customer.  The purchase or sale of a horse at a public auction will be charged a 5% commission.   Special arrangements can be made on occasion.

Lessons

We offer a complete riding program for children or adults. We teach beginners to advanced riders, and riders of all ages. Whether you are wanting to ride just for recreation or if you are wanting to go all the way to the show ring! We will teach you the skills you need to be a safe competitive rider.  We tailor each riding lesson to the individual persons needs and requests.

Riding lessons consist of learning about grooming, tacking up horses and basic knowledge needed to know to help learn about safety for the rider as well as the horse. Actual ride time is about 30 minutes and about 15 minutes getting horse ready or putting away. (45 minutes in total).

Safety is our First Priority for both the rider and for the horse. Helmets (SEI Approved) are required for juvenile riders and strongly recommended for adult riders. Students should always wear proper riding apparel when riding; of which, includes either jodhpurs or jeans and proper riding boots.

At Hart To Hart Stables, Inc.  we strive for a fun & friendly learning environment for all of our students and horses.
